Archives Technician Position - San Bernardino County

The San Bernardino County Assessor-Recorder-County Clerk is recruiting for Archives Technicians to retrieve, receive, index and catalog secure records contained within the Assessor-Recorder-County Clerk's archival facility. These records document the lives and activities of people and organizations in and around the County of San Bernardino, dating back to the 1800's. Essential duties include assisting the public, County departments, and other agencies with reference inquiries; researching and retrieving files; preparing copies and collecting fees; assisting with the archival processing of records; maintaining archives database; and applying standard policies in the maintenance and preservation of archived materials such as maps; probate proceedings; and marriage, birth, and death certificates.
