"You Can't Beat a Woman: Violence at Home and Violence by the State" with Ivy Nallammah Josiah

Ivy Nallammah Josiah has been rebelling against pressure to act like a "proper" Indian Malaysian woman locally, nationally, and internationally for more than three decades.  Instrumental in founding and leading the Women's Aid Organization (WAO), she has acted in various roles including Executive Director, President, and Fundraiser sice 1982.  WAO is the leading organization in Malaysia challenging domestic violece against women and promotig women's human rights.  She is currently authoring two books.
