Transdisciplinary Studies Lunch Discussion Series: Privacy

Speaker: Mark Andrejevic (Pomona College, Media Studies Dept.)

This event is part of a larger series of conversations about Big Data.  The discussion will address such questions as: What does it mean to have privacy in an information age?  How have our understandings and expectations of privacy changed in the context of the increasing amount of data collected about us?  How do we balance the needs and interests of consumers, private citizens, corporations, government, and national security?

Lunch will be provided.

Open to faculty, students, and staff.
