Humanities Forum | Guest Speaker: John Kirhoffer (Survivor Producer)

Survivor Producer John Kirhoffer explains to students how to create the “inside track” to success when entering the workforce.

John Kirhoffer is the supervising producer on the hit television juggernaut Survivor. He is responsible for creating and producing all of the shows challenges and is one of the original producers at the creative core of Survivor since the show's debut season in the summer of 2000. A featured guest on The Oprah Winfrey ShowThe Howard Stern Show, and others, with countless print interviews in periodicals such as Entertainment WeeklyPeopleParade magazine, and Us, John has been sharing stories of his illustrious career since his early years in the Survivor dynasty.

In its 19th year, Survivor has just completed filming its 37th season, visiting 21 different countries and cultures, and the ratings are still at the very top of the prime time line-up.

More important than his contributions to the success of Survivor, Kirhoffer is most proud of the scores of young men and women he has mentored over the years into thriving careers of their own. John is uniquely qualified to coach–and imminently in tune with–students and people eager to succeed, in whatever field they choose.

When not in some remote jungle halfway around the world, John likes to share the lessons he has learned about leadership, success, and inspiration, as a founding member of the “world’s greatest television adventure crew.”
